internet searches more new approaches for multistakeholder process

The internet of today is something that has grown phenomenally creating better prospect as well as making it vulnerable against its control and use.  It directly challenges its use and operation by contradicting its popularity and regulations. Due to lack of standardization and other policy mechanism internet of today is the biggest strength  where it poses as the biggest threat to all.
The more its getting bigger is the more we are facing the problems of how and why to manage it.

Practically speaking Internet today has adopted the form of basic right of any individual, so having a control over internet means having control over the world. In fact this is the reality why developed nation have been trying to take control in one or the other form. To suppress all of these futile motives.  I strongly believe that multistakeholder concept is the best solution. Though we are just exploring the concept but we have to focus more from the bottom up process where we need to concentrate on regional voices. Apart from this leadership politics and manipulation is yet another hindrance that influences and characterized the multistakeholder process. We need leader to accept the real concept of bottom up approach where there are no reservations and favoritism .

Talking more about multistakeholder process, it is all about listening and then working towards action, bridging and lessening the gap in between. It takes time and effort but we have to understand that for this process we have to treat and create a platform where everyone is equal and can voice their issue of standardization.

Major obstacle
1. power

2. control
3. politics and manipulation
4. standardization issue

Recently with the new revelation of the big Association leader working their way towards cooperation, the overall internet governance process seems to be in the buzz

Montevideo Statement is a declaration from members and leaders of the Internet technical community about technical coordination, cooperation and governance in regards to the internet governance process. ICANN48 the new CEO  Fadi announced the launch of a new platform www.1net.org . The new platform would be used  for the “coalition/movement” which had been discussed during IGF.

Internet is a common platform that requires a cooperative action from all sides, nevertheless for effective and efficient operation we need to include and hear the voices of users and activists who are working for the cause.
